I see "iNeed" on the mod configuration menu, but when I click it, it's blank. Its effects do not appear to be working ingame. Your newly added MCM (Mod Configuration Menu, thanks to Sky UI) will pick up on the menu that Immersive Armors is adding to the game and. Running SSE and the version for SSE, and it does not give me an MCM menu. I did install the patches. I have re-installed the mod to see if. But the menu manager will give the menu another chance to register because it asks again after each subsequent reload. I know it's not optimal, but I tried to. This guide will walk newcomers to modding through the steps necessary to find, download, and install our mod manager Vortex as well as the following mods for Skyrim Special Edition:. These mods were selected to give you a good modding foundation and in order to convey some basic knowledge regarding Skyrim modding. Once Vortex is installed, there are a few steps to be taken in order to set it up to manage and download mods for Skyrim Special Edition. There are also some things that you might optionally want to customise to your liking. Once installed, start up Vortex via the shortcut on your Desktop. Upon initialising, Vortex will automatically associate itself with Nexus Mods download links and inform you of that via a notification in the top right corner:. Note : if authorising via the website fails, you can try to log in manually. Try manual login. Vortex is capable of managing mods for dozens of different games. That being said, Vortex does not just automatically take over mod management for a particular game - in case you would rather manage it yourself or with another tool. Therefore, in order to use Vortex the first thing we want to do after installation is to tell it to actively manage Skyrim Special Edition. There you will see three different tabs:. A detailed scan may take several minutes to complete, so, please, be patient while Vortex is searching for the game. Vortex will automatically switch to that game mode and a tile representing Skyrim Special Edition will appear in the top left. While Vortex will always install the files it needs in order to work to your C drive, you are free to choose the location where you want your downloaded mods i. You can specify any folder on your drive. This is the folder where Vortex stages your mods i. You can change both your Download Folder as well as your Mod Staging Folder at a later point in time and even when you have already downloaded and installed mods. Please make sure that enough disk space is available and remain patient, as your mods will be copied over. In the following, we will go over the necessary steps involved in order to get mods from the website downloaded, installed, and enabled via Vortex. Navigate to the Skyrim Special Edition section on the website. Open up the mod page by clicking the mod tile. Once the installation is complete, the mod is ready to be enabled. Note : While many mods for Skyrim Special Edition as well as other Bethesda games come with a plugin, not every mod does. Oftentimes, mods such as retextures only come with texture files that replace existing textures in the game and do not require a plugin to function. On the other hand, some mods consist of just a plugin file simple patches or bugfixes that require no additional files , and no other files. You have just successfully installed your first mod. If you want to disable the mod, you need to navigate to your mod list not plugin list and disable the mod from there. Note that you will not have to reinstall the mod if you decide later on that you still want to use it you would simply have to reenable it. Disabling plugins can be a quick way to troubleshoot issues in your load order, but it is not the advised way of uninstalling mods. Sky UI is a mod that primarily overhauls the interface for Skyrim Special Edition, but more than that it is required for many other mods and adds a user-friendly mod menu MCM - Mod Configuration Menu to the game. It is, therefore, highly recommended. We have now successfully installed and enabled Sky UI. However, as we have not yet installed its requirement SKSE64 yet, it will not function properly in the game. To do so, go to the Vortex Dashboard and click the refresh button on the starter dashlet. Vortex will indicate a tool that has been set as primary by adding a little banner next to its icon on the starter dashlet. It is required to launch the game with this setting in order for SKSE64 to be active, which is a requirement for many mods including Sky UI, which is a. If you have followed this guide correctly until now, your plugin list should now look like this:. Note that SKSE64, while correctly installed, will not appear either in the plugins list nor the mod list. This is because we have installed SKSE64 manually by extracting its contents directly into the game folder, rather than using Vortex to do that. While it is possible to use Vortex to install SKKSE64 or other script extenders it requires a few extra steps and is only recommended for intermediate modders. Immersive Armors and Immersive Weapons are two mods that add plenty of lore-friendly armours and weapons to the base game in a seamless way. You can monitor your download in the Downloads section within Vortex, or in the bottom left corner where your active downloads are displayed:. Once the download is finished, click the install button on the notification that comes up - just like with the Unofficial Patch and Sky UI:. Since this is a large mod, extracting the files might take a while, so, please, be patient as Vortex prepares the installation. How involved it is, how many steps there are, and how many options to pick from, depends on the mod itself. Once that is done, we are ready to enable the mod. Other than Sky UI and the Unofficial Patch, however, Immersive Armors comes with multiple plugin files and Vortex will, therefore, now ask you whether you want to enable them all:. Whether it is safe to enable all plugins on a given mod or not, cannot be answered in general. Some mods will provide several plugins in order to give players options. For example, a grass mod might come with a plugin for long grass , one for medium grass , and one for short grass. In that case, you will want to only pick one plugin to enable. Other times, mods will include one plugin for the mod, and several other plugins as patches so the mod works well together with other mods. In those cases, you should only enable plugins corresponding to mods that you actually have in your load order. Enabling all of those will not cause harm, but it is up to you to decide whether you want those additional features in your game. If you have followed the guide to this point properly, you should be able to see the Immersive Armors configurations menu ingame now. Start the game via the play button on the Skyrim SE tile in the top left. Load up a save or start a new game. In the top left, you should see a couple of messages in relation to Immersive Armors: image. Since Immersive Armors is a large mod, this will take a while, so, please, give it up to 60 seconds. This is where mods will display their mod specific configuration menu - if they have one not every mod comes with an MCM. In your mod configuration menu, you should now see Immersive Armors where you will be able to e. Unlike Immersive Armors, Immersive Weapons does not come with a scripted installer or multiple plugins, so it installs similarly to e. Your plugin list should now look like this:. While you can download the mod the same way you downloaded the others via the Download: Vortex button in the top right note that this will grab the main file which the author has set as the main Vortex file. The mod A Quality World Map, however, has several options for the world map, be it a paper version, or a version with flat roads. This will ensure that Vortex downloads the right file for you. Apart from that, the mod installs the same way the Unofficial Patch and Sky UI did - no extra steps needed. Your plugin view should now look like this:. Hopefully, following this guide you are now equipped with the knowledge to add many more mods to your game - if you so desire. From Nexus Mods Wiki. Jump to: navigation , search. To start I was not able to install it into MO for some reason. I got around that by installing it with NMM. This worked fine and everything ran normally. I was able to modify and configure mods with MCM without a problem. I noticed that skyui was also appearing in my installed and activated list in MO but that did not appear to affect anything. Last week I ran into a major problem with none of my saves being able to load because of a mannequin activation error. I got around it with ssme and that's when the problems started. MCM will not list any mods in it even though they all seem to work and are currently active. Some of the mods are frostfall, better vampires, minty lightning and moonpath. I did some tweaking and on a reload I get all the prompts of everything in MCM starting for the first time. Also my character is naked and missing her head and all my equipment or followers from mods are missing as well. The screen also flickers and dims repeatedly too. I played with the settings and found that for the game to work I need skyui installed through NMM , have it checked in the Install pane and unchecked in the active mods window. If I leave both unchecked then skyrim loads normally for a moment then instantly CTD. Any other configuration and I get the new start mcm load prompts along with the naked and headless character. I've tried all the suggested fixes for skyui and re-installed it as well with no change. Please help as I am completely stumped by this and really need to get to the MCM. Try installing SkyUI with the external installer. Go to the settings and disable the internal installer plugin, then install SkyUI , then reenable the internal installer. Sorry but you've lost me. This has been tested with the latest build with the Update A2. The A3 update will cause the Creation Kit CK to report that it is not working and close and the latest version of Fallout 4. As always this worked for me and your mileage may vary. As MO2 is still in Beta and there are numerous problems still being worked on. The two problems I have encountered, one is that the CK will not load at all, this is not a MO2 problem at all, and once it is run, saving will result in a hung not responding CK and the user must terminate the CK manually and lose all work done. I would highly suggest that if you are doing a complex mod to do it in the vanilla environment. Problem one, as I stated earlier is not a MO2 problem and is included here to help others, as it can manifest in the vanilla environment also under certain conditions. Especially if the user has installed optional DLLs in the games root folder. So, for every session you want to run the CK you just must rename dxgi. Problem two, not saving from the CK. Copy, not move, MOD-Name. Start the CK and make changes until you are ready to save. When you are finished save your modified mod. It will now be saved to the Overwrite folder. Your mod will be copied to the back to the original mod. The Overwrite folder should now be empty. You can also use a blank ESP to do this. This will make the actions in the last step work for us. Start MO2 and the CK and open the mod to converted, as described above, making it the active mod. Click the dialogs until no more show up. No need to do anything else in the CK so close it now. Your mod will be copied back to the original mod leaving the Overwrite folder empty. With this folder structure present in the Data folder MCM mods will now show up in game. I also had some problems with Transfer Settlements mod not saving Blueprints. When present in the vanilla game settlement blueprints will now save in game. When testing this without the folder structure present the Transfer Settlements would complete without any mod added ESPs being listed. I hope this helps users of the Developer builds have a better experience. Mainly mods not showing up in the menu. After any hotkeys are set the resulting output will be written to the overwrite folder and a mod can be created from this and enabled. Any subsequent changes to the hotkeys will be written here. You may see another empty folder in the overwrite foldet the first time this is done. Tested with MO 2. SkyUI - Item quantity prompt not happening. No error messages or anything, but when trying to take items from or put them in a container I can't get a quantity prompt. When using a controller I just have to button press over and over until every item is moved, or hit X to move every item in my inventory or in the container at once. When using a mouse, I can right click to move all of one specific item, but that doesn't solve my problem and doesn't help at all when using a controller, which I prefer. I have no experience debugging SKSE stuff sadly EDIT 2: Upon further testing, the issue seems to be only with money and ammo For other items, I get the prompt as expected. After I did that it removed iNeed from the list, even though it appeared there before and is downloaded and enbaled on the Nexus. Where do I go now? Hell, does this mod even still work? I remember the creator was miffed when Paid Mods was removed. Last edited by SigmarGrindset ; 3 Aug, am. Mod works fine. I tested it some time ago, before moving back to Realistic Needs and Diseases. I am kind of stuck with that. Isoku is still modding. He has slowed down a bit, due to amount of time modding has taken from him, but he is still active and doing updates. If this isn't a load order issue and that console command did not refresh the MCM, then something is either missing or interfering with the mod. What tool you are using to mod the game? NMM or MO? Is your SKSE up to date? SkyUI 5 requires version 1. SKSE up to date. Using NMM. I'll have to check SkyUI This is not likely, if you already had SKSE 1. I am honestly a bit of a loss here. I don't know what else would interfere with iNeed. Mod does not change vanilla records, so something in your game is likely causing a problem. I am not iNeed expert either. I have tested it few times, but always went back to RND. You could share your load order here, so peoples with more knowledge about it can take a look at it, or ask help directly from iNeed support forum. I asked about MO, because seeing what would interfere with iNeed resources would have been really easy with it. NMM requires more detective work. Edit: Typo. Last edited by Ilja ; 3 Aug, am. Nazenn View Profile View Posts. Jumping in because I use iNeed regularly as apart of my game and even a majority of my testing saves as well. The mod works fine, and the author may have been dissapointed when paid mods were removed, but he has since released the updates for free with additional performance updates since then as well, so the mod isn't the issue here. It also works fine with either 4. Make sure you are using the latest version of iNeed and check and see if it shows up properly on a brand new game. Not an existing save file, not even a save that hasn't had mods before, brand new from the menu. If it shows up then then you can say that the mod copy you have is fine, its something in your save file or your system. I would also strongly suggest posting the rest of your load order here as well. Thanks for the help so far, guys. I loaded my level 66 with hours on his game, the mod works. I wanted it for my new level 2 character. This is just getting weird now. Last edited by SigmarGrindset ; 3 Aug, pm. There are plenty of mods there that I do not recognize. I tried to search all of them. Some of them seem to be very old? One thing I did notice is that the load order was not sorted properly. That is the only thing that jumps out from this list. I recommend running LOOT. It may not fix your problem, because there is a change that your saved game has bugged scripts conflicting there. Skyrim bakes script data to save files, so it is possible that it would be wisest to start a new game after running LOOT in any case. However, there is a change that proper load order will fix this for you. We have just had plenty of discussions about save bloat caused by bugged quests and uncleaned entries in vanilla game - as addition of other problems fixed in those patches. I strongly recommend installing all of them and running LOOT after that. Last edited by Ilja ; 3 Aug, pm. Did you read my second post? The mod is working, but it's not applying to the one save I would like it to for whatever reason. Any idea what that's about? Yes, I read your reply. My suspicion was what I said: wrong load order may have bugged scripts for that save, where the MCM does not appear. Fixing the load order may or may not set scripts straight and allow it to appear there. Wrong load order also risks bugging out new game, so it is worth of sorting out. Well it has been a while since the last post Apparently if you open the MCM while iNeeds is installing it causes it to glitch. I was able to fix it by loading to a previous save, and waiting for the installation of the mod and menu to complete before opening the mod menu. Originally posted by B-Kun :. I'm not familiar with all of these mods. Running without it is not supported, but may be possible. As for your not being able to start a new game, you must be doing something wrong. You're half way there already with MO2. One of those is VRIK, and it's working overall perfect, but the holsters doesen't work. Also turn off any anti-viruses from looking in your Skyrim folder. Maybe newer version got this removed? They used to show up, but after installing a couple new mods only those two appear. OK so I fixed it. Basically what it says. SkyUI only checks every once in a while for newly installed MCM mods so that it doesn't spam the scripting engine. The placement of your SkyUI … Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. That is not recommended since MO2 cannot see bethesda in-game mods and it can be unstable. Active effects are displayed directly in the HUD, instead of having to constantly open the magic menu. I see the new animations working in game but the pcea2 menu in MCM is nowhere to be found. Note that you should work in game. User account menu. And I can't see any modified UI in game. Posted July 12, Okay, hey everyone again, sorry. Thanks, this is good to know. I got around that by installing it with NMM. Then exit the console give it like 1 or 2 seconds and go again to the MCM menu, now it should be updated with new entries if you have new mods and deleted all those old mod entires. To start I was not able to install it into MO for some reason. Any idea what causes this, and how to get MCM to register the old mods? Now MCM isn't registering any new menus no matter what mod I use. Member; Members; 13 posts; Share; Posted July 12, The ui shows but no mcm. I have checked the plug ins and they are activated. I have mods that use MCM but the menu doesn't show. The mod works but I just find it strange how it's happening the same time as my Mod Configuration. I'm not quite sure how to install manual mods "properly" with Vortex so just extracted the files to the relevant paths. Tried deleting skyrim. Pretty much the only reason I got the mod was so that I could have different Favorites categories, a section for combat spells, one for utility spells, etc etc. Any ideas.
